Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has returned to individual training, offering a positive update on his recovery from a foot injury sustained during pre-season.
Signed from Lille in the summer for £52 million, the 17-year-old is widely regarded as one of Europe’s top defensive prospects.
Yoro featured briefly for United in pre-season, making an appearance against Rangers, but suffered an injury in the subsequent match against Arsenal.
Since then, he has been out of action, but the club recently confirmed that he has made significant progress in his recovery.
A statement from Manchester United highlighted his return to training.
“Leny Yoro has progressed to the next phase of recovery, stepping back onto the grass at our Carrington base.”
While a competitive debut is not expected soon, Yoro’s return to individual training is a plus for the Red Devils.
