Leicester makes decision on Wilfred Ndidi’s future following Iheanacho’s exit

There are reports that Leicester City has made an important decision on the future of Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi at the club.

With the excitement building up for the new Leicester campaign, the Foxes are now leaving their attention on player recruitment and preseason. Leicester fans already know their preseason schedule and it includes the practice match with Loughborough as well as a friendly match with Shrewsbury Town.

Leicester City will also play RC Lens of the French Ligue 1 on August 10 in a preseason encounter in France. After that, they will start their Premier League campaign against Tottenham Hotspur.

With regards to transfers, Wilfred Ndidi is an extremely important player for Leicester. The club is said to be eager to tie him to a new contract given his popularity with the fans and his ability to play the various positions in the midfield. The fact that Ndidi is a top tackler and interceptor is very important in the formation of new manager Steve Cooper’s strategies.

On the other hand, Derby County has been linked with Leicester City’s goalkeeper Daniel Iversen. Bearing this in mind, a permanent transfer may be more feasible when a player is under discussion for a loan deal.

With Steve Cooper now in charge, Leicester City is likely to continue its signings and conclude important player selection as they begin preparing for the new season.
