Leeds face Barnsley; Leicester head to Stockport

Leeds will host Barnsley in a Yorkshire derby in the Carabao Cup second round, while Newcastle will head to Tranmere and Leicester are to visit Stockport.

The second round of the competition has seen the arrival of 13 Premier League clubs – top flight teams in Europe will enter in round three – and all must first navigate ties against lower league opponents.

Other Premier League ties include Aston Villa visiting Bolton, once a regular top flight fixture, as well as Everton making the trip up the Lancashire coast to Fleetwood. Newly promoted Nottingham Forest will head to the east coast to face Grimsby. Wolves will host Preston.

Bournemouth travel to Norwich, while Crystal Palace are to go to Oxford, Fulham are away at Crawley, Southampton visit Cambridge, and Brentford swap west London for Essex with a trip to Colchester.

The clash between Leicester and Stockport sees the 2016 Premier League champions against the 2022 National League champions, who are in the second round for the first time since 2007.

Second round ties will be played in the week commencing 22 August.
