Laide Bakare, a well-known Yoruba actress, has been appointed as Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s senior special adviser on entertainment, the arts, tourism, and culture.
The movie star posted pictures from her meeting with the governor and herself holding the appointment letter to announce her appointment on Instagram on Thursday.
Laide, who was born and raised in Oyo State, thanked the state and proclaimed herself an honorable citizen.
She wrote, “NOW AN HONORABLE 🙏 ya Allah I am grateful 🙏. To my New Boss GOVERNOR ADEMOLA JACKSON ADELEKE Imole Osun. Thank you so much for the trust and opportunity to serve. I promise to deliver my Best. So help me God 🙏”
