A lady has sparked reactions online after setting fire to her makeup kits, wigs, and eyelashes, declaring she has given her life to Christ and chosen to embrace God’s natural beauty.
The incident was shared on her TikTok page, where she posted a video capturing the moment.
In the clip, the woman is seen lighting a fire and tossing her makeup items, eyelashes, wigs, and other accessories into the flames, watching as they burned.
In the video’s caption, she explained that she was getting rid of all “ungodly” possessions as part of her spiritual transformation.
She embraced her natural beauty as a reflection of her newfound faith.
The video also featured a lengthy statement quoting Bible verses, including:
“Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They put their trust in God…” – 1 Peter 3:3–6.
She further cited Ephesians 2:8–10, adding:
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
When asked why she chose this path, she referenced 1 John 2:15:
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.”
