The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure has reportedly been arrested by the Nigerian police earlier today.
According to reports made available online, Mr Julius Abure was arrested in Benin City, Edo State, South-South, Nigeria.
It is currently unclear the reason behind his arrest but sources say it may not be unconnected with the recent crisis rocking the party.
However, other sources on social media claim he was arrested over fraudulent and other financial crimes.
The Nigerian police are yet to share the main reason with the public for the arrest of the politician.
