Speaking on his YouTube channel, the 12-year-old expressed her appreciation for the way her family supports her choices, contrasting her experience with that of many other children.
Sky shared that her parents, Gitau and Bayo, prioritize her autonomy, emphasizing that they do not compel her to attend school, framing education as a personal choice rather than an obligation.
“I know that not all children get this kind of privilege, but I have the freedom to do anything,” she stated.
She continued by explaining how her upbringing diverges from traditional expectations, saying, “You know life is for the living.”
Describing her daily life, Sky mentioned, “Even if it’s a school day, I have the freedom to sleep as much as I want, and I feel that such freedom is unique.”
She expressed admiration for her parents’ understanding nature, noting that if she decides she doesn’t want to go to school, they accept her choice without question.
“If I don’t want to go to school, it’s just a choice, and I think that’s the right way for children these days,” she added.
Sky also expressed her astonishment at parents who pressure their children into mandatory schooling, reflecting, “I am surprised by the parents who force their children to go to school. School is not necessary; at home, I feel school is not necessary for me.”
In her ongoing conversations about life under her parents’ roof, Sky previously caused a stir by sharing that she is allowed the freedom to explore relationships, stating that having a boyfriend is an option she’s free to consider at her young age.
This further highlights the openness and progressive approach that her family encourages in her upbringing.
