Kieran McKenna’s future has been uncertain, with reports linking him to both Chelsea and Manchester United after he led Ipswich to the Premier League. The 38-year-old took over in December 2021 and guided Ipswich to back-to-back promotions, securing their place in the Premier League for the first time since 2002.
McKenna expressed his pride in signing the new contract, stating,

Before managing Ipswich, McKenna held academy roles at Spurs and Man Utd and was part of the first-team coaching staff at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and Ralf Rangnick.
He guided Ipswich to a second-place finish in League One in his first full season in charge, earning them promotion to the Championship. This season, he amassed 96 points, securing the club’s return to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.
