Critics of Kevin Durant are having a field day with his latest request to be traded from the Brooklyn Nets.
Some people have held a grudge against Durant for years now and his reported request to leave Brooklyn has only made that grudge stronger.
Durant’s desire to leave underlines certain stereotypes about the man – specifically that he is a ring chaser.

Apparently, he is interested in joining the Boston Celtics right now, the team that swept his Nets in the first round of the playoffs.
That reminds quite a few people of when Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors after they pushed him out of the playoffs back in 2016.
Is Durant’s policy really becoming “if you can’t beat them, join them”?
KD Carries On
Durant to the Celtics would be a massive move for both KD and Boston.
He would be on a team that is championship-ready and would be playing alongside some of the best stars in the league, such as Jayson Tatum.
Meanwhile, the Nets would be receiving some impressive players too, like Jaylen Brown and probably Marcus Smart – as well as a few future draft picks too.
It’s probably the best deal that could come out of the Durant situation.
If it does happen, you can be sure that many people would be very critical of Durant moving forward.
They would again claim he’s only trying to win a Finals and can’t stay loyal.
But Durant would have the last laugh if his new team ended up winning it all.
We have no idea the chances of this deal actually coming together but it would certainly be the biggest one of the offseason.
