Dr. Ibrahim Aminu Kurami, the lawmaker representing Bakori Local Government Area in Katsina State House of Assembly, is dead.
The lawmaker who died today around 2 am Nigerian time, was elected to Katsina State House of Assembly in a by-election conducted on October 31, 2020, following the death of his predecessor, Hon. Abdurrazak Ismail Tsiga.
Kurami’s family told Daily Trust that he died after a brief illness in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He reportedly traveled to the Middle-East country to perform Umrah.
Ibrahim Aminu Kurami left behind two wives, 11 children, and three grandchildren. A crowd of sympathizers was spotted at his house on Monday morning when visited by some journalists.
