Kanayo, in a recent video, warned Reno Omokri, Uche Maduagwu, Verydarkman, and others against chasing clout with Mr Ibu’s illness. He posed a rhetorical question, asking if the critics would have preferred silence and watched Mr. Ibu’s situation worsen.
Kanayo O Kanayo, a stalwart of Nollywood, has thrown his hat into the ring in response to his unwell colleague, Mr. Ibu, who has issued a clarion plea for public aid. In doing so, he took the opportunity to quell the venomous charges leveled at him and his movie business colleagues.
According to GISTLOVER, Mr Ibu recently requested prayers following his battle with an unknown illness that may result in the amputation of his legs.
In response to the news, Reno Omokri, a former presidential media adviser, stated that Mr. Ibu had been a staunch supporter of Peter Obi, and he encouraged the LP flagbearer to step up and help with the thespian’s medical expenditures.*
Actor Uche Maduagwu, on the other hand, made serious charges against his co-stars, claiming they were responsible for Mr. Ibu’s illness and accusing them of using charms. Meanwhile, Verydarkman, a well-known Tiktoker, criticized Nollywood movie professionals of ignoring the Comic Actor.
Kanayo, in a recent video, warned Reno Omokri, Uche Maduagwu, Verydarkman, and others against chasing clout with Mr Ibu’s illness.
Kanayo firmly stated that he and his fellow actors are deeply saddened for their close colleague, Mr. Ibu. He added that his family has been giving it their best since learning of his sickness last year, and that they have now openly asked for public support, which he finds totally appropriate.*
He posed a rhetorical question, asking if the critics would have preferred silence and watched Mr. Ibu’s situation worsen.
The 61-year-old said in parts;
“As actors, our heart goes out to our very dear colleague John Okafor, Mr Ibu. His family has been doing their best since it was reported last year he was sick and now they have come out to say we have done our best we need public support. It’s not in any sense wrong. Would you have felt bad or better if they kept quiet and allowed our colleague die? Onye ka ozuru? Now I condemned in strict terms Reno Omokri who is coming to call Peter Obi’s name and so on.
“It is not a friendly thing, it is wicked and the other guy Uche Maduagwu and so who talked about top actors, shame on top actors, I say shame on you too. Shame on you because you don’t have any value and level to call our names, It is an individual thing to do to support a colleague. It becomes a collectable as Actors Guild of Nigeria who are doing their best within their limited time. Even those who have given can also be appreciated,”
