Juventus secure 1-0 victory against 10-man Milan side at San Siro

Juventus emerged victorious in a cracker against 10-man AC Milan side on Sunday, to keep their Serie A title race hopes alive.

The match which ended 1-0 was held at the famous San Siro stadium with about 80,018 capacity.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw. However, the second half saw Juventus take the lead in the 63rd minute with a goal from Manuel Locatelli, and assisted by Timothy Weah.

AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw was red-carded 40 minutes into the match, which made it more difficult for them to stage a comeback.

Juventus also held up their defense throughout the game, and managed to keep AC Milan at bay.

However, Milan was without some key players. Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez were suspended, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Marco Sportiello, Samuel Chukwueze, Ismael Bennacer, Mattia Caldara and Davide Bartesaghi are serving injury terms.

The win takes Juventus to third place in the Serie A table with 20 points, while AC Milan remains in second place with 21 points.
