Junior Pope: Producer donates N1.2m to families of late Abigail and soundman

• He donated N500,000 to the soundman’s account and N700,000 to the bereaved makeup artist’s family.

Chukwuma Innocent Ideh, a filmmaker, has made donations to the families of the makeup artist and soundman who died in the Anam River boat accident.

He gave N500,000 into the soundman’s account and N700,000 to the family of the deceased makeup artist.

Following the announcement on Thursday that actor Junior Pope had died, the two young creatives were discovered dead after being retrieved from the river two days later.

They had just returned from a movie shoot in Asaba when their boat capsized in the Anam River in Anambra state.

Social media users reacted differently to screenshots of the money the director transferred; some applauded him for assisting the family.
