Since being acquired from the Washington Nationals, Juan Soto has been everything that the San Diego Padres have asked for.
Not only is he hitting blasts and coming up clutch, but his trademark patience at the plate has continued to pay off.
Soto is known for being patient and taking a ton of walks.
Each time he does, the famous Soto shuffle takes place.
With his latest walk, he matched a legend.
He became the 31st player in baseball history to have drawn 100 walks through their first 112 games of the season, according to Baseball Reference, and the first National League player to do so since Barry Bonds did it back in 2007.

More walks means more Soto shuffles.
Soto is simply a rare breed of young sluggers.
While many young sluggers tend to be very free swingers and chase some pitches out of the zone, Soto is well-known for his patience and control.
He’s a guy who never throws an at-bat away and is always very disciplined while in the batter’s box.
The Nationals know that all too well, having spent five years with Soto on their roster.
Ironically, he achieved this feat while making his return to Nationals Park as an opposing player for the first time.
Soto can now quite literally walk amongst the legends.
As the old saying goes, patience is a virtue, and Soto has a ton of patience at the plate, which makes him a tough out for any pitcher.
The Padres got a good one when the acquired him.
They got somebody who at a young age is already one of the best hitters in all of baseball, but also one of the most disciplined hitters.
