In a shocking case heard at the High Court in Eldoret, disturbing details emerged about the actions of Jackton Odhiambo following the death of LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiptoo, also known as Chiloba.
Odhiambo, who is the prime suspect in Chiloba’s murder, was revealed to have gone on a spending spree using the deceased’s M-PESA cash immediately after the tragic event.
Witnesses, including a data analyst, a massage therapist, a forensic expert, and a government analyst, provided testimony against Odhiambo, also known as Lizer, before Justice Reuben Nyakundi.
The court learned that Odhiambo left Chiloba’s 26-year-old body to decompose in his own home while he began to squander the deceased’s money. Shockingly, Odhiambo visited various entertainment venues and hotels, even indulging in paid massage and sexual s3rvices.
All of these transactions were carried out using Chiloba’s M-PESA account.
These revelations paint a grim picture of Odhiambo’s actions and underscore the tragic loss of life suffered by Chiloba. It is a stark reminder of the vulnerability faced by LGBTQ individuals and the dangers they often confront in society.
As Justice Reuben Nyakundi presides over the proceedings, the hope is that justice will be served for Edwin Kiptoo, and that his tragic death will not be in vain.
