Ja Morant Continues To Pace His Draft Class

 

No one can deny the fact that Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is one of the most special and exciting young players in the league.

Obviously, Memphis fans have known about him for some time but he really took things to a whole new level last season and became much more of a household name.

Known for his excellent offensive skills and his determination to chase down any ball and any player, Morant also plays a sort of basketball that is addictive to watch.

It’s obvious that he’s one of the greatest young stars in the league and he’s easily one of the best from his draft class of 2019.

In fact, Morant has the most points from the 2019 draft class with 3,961.

RJ Barrett comes in behind Morant with 3,469 points, Darius Garland is behind him with 3,142, and Tyler Herro has 2,925.

So not only is Morant the best player on his team, he’s the best player from his special batch of rookie classmates.

There was some speculation that Morant could earn the MVP trophy last season.

In the end, that honor went to Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets again but Morant definitely stated his case and made it clear that he was in the running.

Perhaps this upcoming season will be when he breaks through and earns that huge honor.

Morant also has his eyes set on helping his team make it even further in the postseason.

They did quite well last time but they didn’t have enough to stop the red-hot Warriors, especially after Morant was taken out due to injury.

But he is getting his rest and his rehabilitation now and will enter the new season with a renewed determination to win it all.
