The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to welcome back several key players including Alex Iwobi and Terem Moffi ahead of their friendlies.
The next international break will see the Nigeria team duel with Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in Portugal.
Head Coach Jose Santos Peseiro has already selected his squad, hoping to get the best out of his boys ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, as well as the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Among other returning players are Kenneth Omeruo and Bright Osayi-Samuel. The four players missed the Super Eagles previous victory against Sao Tome and Principe in the 2023 AFCON qualifier last month.
Meanwhile, coach Peseiro is also maintaining faith in goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Adebayo Adeleye, and Olorunleke Ojo, while uncapped defender Jordan Torunnarigha might have the opportunity to make his mark as well.
The friendly match against Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcons is scheduled for October 13, while the clash against Mozambique’s Mambas will hold three days after on the 16th. Both matches will hold at Portimão, Portugal.
