“It is not your duty to love your husband; you are to submit and honor him” – Prophetess Ijeoma Ezenekwe (Video)

Popular prophetess, Ijeoma Ezenekwe says it is an error for women to love their husband but instead to honor and submit.

She averred this while speaking to her congregants as she explained that it is not the duty of the woman to love her husband, as that is not what the Bible instructs.

The prophetess explained that it is the duty of the man to love his wife while the wife should only marry men that they can submit to and honor.

According to her, women should avoid making statements such as “I cannot marry him because I do not love him” since it is not their duty to do so.

In her words:

“You are not supposed to love your husband. The Bible did not tell you to love your husband…It is not your duty to love him. It is his duty to love you. If the man says I can’t marry her because I don’t love her, then there is a problem.

You don’t have a right to love him so you don’t need to love him… What you should marry is a man you can submit to. A man you can honour is who you should marry not a man you love. “It is the man that will love you.”
