Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta has revealed that Lautaro Martinez contract extension is near completion.
Speaking at Italy’s training base for Euro 2024, Marotta revealed that the deal is “virtually done.”
During the interview, the club chief addressed several topics, including Italy’s 2-1 win over Albania in the Euro 2024 competition in Dortmund on Saturday.
On the subject of contract negotiations, Marotta was clear about the progress with Martinez and head coach Simone Inzaghi.
“Lautaro’s renewal is virtually done,” he confirmed. “It’s just about getting the signature. It’s not easy because he’s in Argentina, but it’s already done.”
When asked about Inzaghi’s contract, Marotta was equally positive: “Yes, yes,” he affirmed, indicating that an agreement with the coach is also nearing completion.
