Inter have unveiled their new away kit for the 2022/23 season, which pays tribute to the club’s fan all over the world through its classy but subtle map design.
At first glance, the light blue pattern on the white shirt appears to be an abstract design. But take a closer look and it is a map of the world intended for the ‘Brothers and Sisters of the World’.
Inter are an international club by name, formed in 1908 with the ideology that players of all nationalities and not only Italians were welcome to join them.
‘International’ features on the inside of the shirt’s collar to reinforce that.
Inter’s badge, usually primarily blue and black, has been reimagined in white and light blue to match the tones of the new jersey and complement the theme. The map design has even been positioned so that the crest is place over the city of Milan.
The Nerazzurri will wear the new away strip for the first time on 13 August when they face Lecce in Serie A, with fans eventually able to purchase their own from early September.
The women’s team will use the shirt on their current pre-season tour in the United States.
As is increasingly the case with new football shirts, Nike have manufactured it with material made from at least 95% recycle plastic bottle. It is also loaded with performance technology.
