Inter Milan clinched their 20th Serie A title with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over city rivals AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina.
The win not only crowns Inter as champions of Italy for the 2023/24 season but also grants them the right to adorn their jersey with two stars, a privilege reserved for teams with ten or more Serie A titles.
Inter won the title, edging out Milan 2-1 in the derby clash.
This historic achievement also marks Simone Inzaghi’s first Serie A title as a coach, adding to his previous successes in the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana with both Inter and Lazio.
Inter’s remarkable form this season saw them occupy the top spot for the majority of the campaign, with just one brief spell in the second place following a draw with Bologna in Week 8.
Although they fell short of matching Juventus’s record of 102 Serie A points, Inter’s campaign was nothing short of impressive, boasting 27 wins, five draws, and only one defeat.
Their only loss came at the hands of Sassuolo in September last year.
