Nigerian indigenous rapper and songwriter, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, popularly known by his stage name CDQ, has come out to refute claims that there was no rapper invited to the Rick Ross in Lagos COncert.
According to him, he was invited because he was worth it.
Recall, Ycee had slammed organisers over the absence of a single rap act at the event, and Hip Hop Ace M.I Abaga also shared his opinion on the Issue.
CDQ has now come out to say, the organisers invited him ‘directly from America’, because after checking his catalogue ‘from 2013 till date’ and he never asked for it.
See his tweets:
I’m sure most of us would get invitations to the event but would rather be asking for something else. And FYI I was invited to the event by Belaire directly from America 🇺🇸 and I’m sure they must have checked my catalog from 2013 till date cos I never asked for it 💿
