Wizkid lost out of the race to win a Grammy after getting 2 nominations in the prestigious award.
In 2021, Wizkid got his first Grammy award for a feature on Beyonce’s song, ‘Brown Skin Girl,’ while Burna Boy won the Best Global Music Album category after losing out in 2020.
At a televised event, Wizkid lost out in the two categories, Best Global Music Performance and Best Global Music Album.
When nominations were announced, Wizkid was thought to be the favorite for the categories, because he had the biggest song and the best albums in the categories he was nominated for.
However, fans and music lovers have trooped out to react to air their views on the outcome of the awards. While most of them believed Wizkid was robbed of the awards, some have reiterated that the award was given to the best, defending the selection process of the prestigious award.
