The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has spoken about his failed marriage.

The monarch claimed that after his marriage collapsed, he was humiliated on social media.

However, things have changed because his palace is now full with queens.

He revealed that he was sleeping and waking up alone, and he prayed to God, asking who he had offended, as he had never done anything wrong to anyone.

Ooni remarked that God commanded him to set his mind at ease, and now he has Queens everywhere all over the palace.

“When my marriage broke and I became single, many people mocked me and said there is no respect for a king that has no queen. I was sleeping and waking up alone. I called on God; I asked questions: who did I offend? I never did evil to anyone. He told me to put my mind at rest. Look at me today. There are queens everywhere in the palace”.

Recall that in December 2022, Olori Naomi, the second wife of the king, shocked many by announcing the end of her 3-year marriage on her Instagram page.

Recently, she spoke about her divorce and made it clear that she will not return to the palace, as the king now has six wives. While she experienced some happy times in her marriage, there were also difficult moments. She reflected on how she was too naive and gentle when she married the king, but she has since learned that life is different.

Following their failed marriage, Ooni married six wives in three months: Olori Mariam, Olori Elizabeth Akinmuda, Olori Tobi Phillips, Olori Ashley, Olori Ronke, and Olori Temitope.

While celebrating his 48th birthday and seventh coronation anniversary, Ooni explained why he married Mariam Anako and others, stating that he wanted to make changes but was unable to do so due to Ile Ife’s traditional legacy.

Since then, the King and his two new brides have had three children. He welcomed twins this year with Olori Tobi, and a boy, Olori Ashley.
