Celebrity jewelry designer Grace Makun, who is married to well-known designer Yomi Casual, has come under fire for giving May Edochie—the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie—uninvited counsel.
The event provoked a furious response from online users who objected to Makun’s remarks.
May Edochie expressed her feelings on the start of the new year, 2024, and her reflections on the difficulties of the previous year on her Instagram profile.
She exposed herself on social media, seeking comfort there by sharing her own troubles, which included the devastating death of a family member.
Grace Makun, also known on social media as Fabjewels, responded to May’s touching message by encouraging her to take off Yul Edochie’s last name and live a self-sufficient life.
Many, however, took offense at Grace Makun’s advise, criticizing her for giving unsolicited counsel and pointing out that a number of famous women kept their ex-husbands’ surnames upon divorce.
Grace Makun, unfazed by the recent criticism, stuck to her guns on her Instagram page.
She wrote:
“2024 No gree for anybody
“Say no to bullying, trolls una mind no go touch ground!
I SAID WHAT I SAID”.
In a separate post, Grace Makun made it clear that she does not tolerate nonsense and expressed her determination to prosper under her own name.
“This is Fabjewels. Welcome, in case you don’t know me. I don’t take nonsense.
I say things as it is !!! I shall flourish and prosper with my name
MY NAME WILL MAKE WAY FOR ME
NEW YEAR ENERGY !!! NEW YEAR WITH A BANG
NO GREE FOR ANYBODY 2024.
Let’s do this”.
The issue surrounding Grace Makun is not new; in the past, she was accused by an anonymous blogger of being involved in the divorce of a specific celebrity couple who were linked to her through marriage for unknown reasons.
Grace Makun angrily refuted the allegations and pushed the blogger to produce evidence in a day.
