Prince Nelson, former housemate of the popular reality show, Big Brother Naija, revealed the reason behind his decision to enter the house as a guest housemate.
Prince expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and his commitment to fulfilling a promise he made to his dear friend, Alex Unusual.
In a recent interview with Naija FM in Lagos, Prince disclosed that he was originally one of the housemates who was set to participate in the reality show but turned it down.
Apart from advertising his brand, he claimed that Alex had begged him to come if big brother ever calls again, so when biggie called, he took that as an opportunity to fulfill the promise he made to his friend Alex.
He said:
“Alex was one of the reasons I came into the [Big Brother] House apart from promoting my own businesses and everything. She made me make a promise because I was one of the original housemates that were supposed to go into the House but I declined.
“But she made me promise that if at any point Big Brother ever called me again to come into the House even if it is for one day, that I should come even if it was just to say hello and leave that she is going to be pleased. And I said no problem.
“So, when the call came, it came at a very convenient time. I was like, okay, it’s cool. I have a promise that I made to someone. I would fulfill the promise and I would also use the opportunity to promote my brand. So, it was a win-win for me.”
Recall that Prince Nelson had given Alex immunity from last week’s eviction when he found the black envelop
As tensions rise and strategic alliances are tested, Big Brother restored the old nomination style after giving the housemates seven minutes to find all the black envelopes hidden in the house.
Mercy, Prince Nelson and Venita had found the hidden envelopes, when asked to reveal the content of their envelopes, Mercy Eke had picked the one with no immunity, Venita picked the one with a riddle while Prince picked the one with immunity.
However according to instructions in Prince’s envelope, he was to save anyone for the week’s eviction except himself.
Prince who didn’t give it a second thought, picked his bestie Alex Unusual.
