Nigerian musician Iyanya has opened out about his feelings after his estranged Ghanaian lover, actress Yvonne Nelson, launched her controversial biography, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.’
The singer said he backed the book unaware that she made explosive charges against him in her biography.
In a chapter titled “Iyanya And My Love Life,” the Ghanaian diva discussed her relationship with Iyanya and how she discovered he was cheating on her with Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh.
In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, Iyanya stated that he approved the book despite not understanding its contents.
The musician, who pledged to address Nelson’s charges last year when the book was released, indicated that he is still not ready to respond to his ex-girlfriend’s infidelity allegations.
He noted that they are still in good terms and communicate regularly.
He said, “I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.
“I know I promise to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”
