Rose Muhando and her mother were thrown out after the death of her stepfather who raised her like his own biological daughter.

The gospel singer opened up about her troubled childhood while speaking during an interview with Lilian Mwashe.

Muhando revealed that she only found out that the man who was raising her as his daughter was not her biological dad after he died.

“When my dad died, some family members called for me and told me he wasn’t my real father. I was hurt, I cried,” she said.

Muhando said her mother and her were thrown out by relatives of her stepfather following in demise in a bid to lock them out of the inheritance.

“My elder brother sold the house, so me and my mother had to leave. The first time, we slept under a tree. My mother was told never to go back. A friend of my mother’s helped us build a kibanda. To date, I don’t know my real father,” she said.
