A Nigerian man has expressed his distress over his girlfriend’s decision to end their relationship due to his delay in proposing marriage, despite their 8-year-long companionship.
The man, whose identity remains confidential, revealed that his partner, who has reached the age of 30, ceased visiting his residence and withdrew certain responsibilities she had taken on, citing her dissatisfaction with his reluctance to commit to marriage.
The man, described as an individual dedicated to his pursuits and ambitions, expressed his predicament by explaining that his financial circumstances were not yet optimal for the significant financial commitment that marriage entails.
He emphasized his determination to attain a substantial financial breakthrough before venturing into marital life, echoing his aspirations for a solid foundation upon which to start a family.
In his words;
“I’ve been dating my girlfriend for 8 years. Recently, she stopped coming to my house because she said she has given me too much wife benefits and that is why I’m refusing to get married to her.
She’s 30yrs. I’m still a hustler working on a huge cashout before I can start a family. I don’t know why women are like this”
