Huddah Monroe Embraces Vybz Kartel’s New Look Post-Prison Release

Socialite Huddah Monroe has publicly shared her feelings about Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel, who recently made headlines following his release from prison.

About two weeks after his freedom, Monroe revealed that she is beginning to adjust to Kartel’s new appearance, which has sparked conversations across social media.

Vybz Kartel, 48, was released after serving 13 years behind bars, with officials citing deteriorating health as the reason for his release.

Since then, photos of the artiste have circulated online, showcasing a stark contrast to his previous looks, particularly with a bare face that has drawn attention.

Vybz Kartel is suffering from Graves’ disease, an immune system disorder that impacts the thyroid gland and causes an overproduction of thyroid hormones.

The disease has made Vybz Kartel’s face swollen.

Regardless of this transformation, Monroe made it clear that her affection for the artist remains steadfast.

“Now I’m getting used to Vybz Kartel’s head. Vybz Kartel all my life, if you love someone, you just love them no matter what. He can’t do anything wrong,” she stated emphatically.

Huddah didn’t hold back when sharing her thoughts on Kartel’s appearance, posting old pictures of him and asserting that he didn’t look particularly striking even before his health issues.

She humorously compared his former look to that of Member of Parliament for Mumias East, Peter Salasya, during his more challenging times.

“He has never had a good appearance; he used to look like Salasya in those days of struggle. At that time he was black and poor. It is imperative that we love Vybz the way he is now; the guy wasn’t even handsome, it’s just good music, you can’t separate him from them,” Monroe reflected, emphasizing the importance of embracing artists for their talent rather than solely their looks.

In a notable comeback, Vybz Kartel announced plans to hold his first live show later this year, signaling a new chapter in his long and impactful career.
