Budding Nigerian Rapper, Crown Uzama, widely known as Shallipopi, shared insights into the crucial role fellow rapper Zlatan Ibile played in catapulting him to fame.

During a recent interview, Shallipopi, in viral video, delved into the transformative impact Zlatan Ibile had on his life, detailing how Zlatan facilitated a connection with his former label boss and the CEO of Dvpper Music, Dapper.

Shallipopi recalled hitting up various artists to remix his hit track, Ellon Musk, and to his pleasant surprise, Zlatan Ibile was the only one who not only responded but also scheduled a studio meetup.

The self acclaimed Pluto presido shared in the clip that while recording in the studio, he crossed paths with Dapper, which marking the onset of their work relationship.

Shallipopi started his career making freestyles, and posting them on TikTok and other social media platforms. He made a breakthrough with the release of his single “Elon Musk”

He gained initial recognition with the release of “Obapluto” in 2023. Shallipopi was signed to Dvpper Music Distribution, a Nigerian music record distribution founded by “Damillola Akinwunmi” aka Dapper.

On 20 June 2023, Apple Music announced Shallipopi as the latest featured artist in its Up Next artist development program in Nigeria. On 30 June, he released the remix of “Elon Musk” featuring Fireboy DML and Zlatan.

On 7 July 2023, he released the single “Ex-Convict”, which debuted at number 6 on the TurnTable Top 100.

On 11 July 2023 his EP Planet Pluto. On 17 October 2023, he launched his own record label after signing to Dvpper Music Distribution with his music acts Zerry DL and Tega Boi. Shallipopi signed them the day he launched the record label.
