Imam, a Nigerian clergyman, has revealed how singer Naira Marley and his sidekick Sam Larry informed him of Mohbad’s death.
Remember that a few days ago, Naira Marley and Sam Larry were in the headlines when a video of them saying “Amen” to a prayer composed for the Mohbad murders went viral.
The Imam, who was sat beside Naira Marley and Sam Larry in the viral video, prayed for the assassins of Mohbad, a former signee of Marlians record company.
Surprisingly, Naira and Sam Larry, who had claimed innocence in their role in his death, were seen sitting mute when the Imam prayed for the late singer’s murderers. When the Imam understood this, he had to have Sam Larry and Naira Marley say “Amen” to his prayers.
Speaking today, the Imam said that they confessed to him during a meeting that they were innocent of the charges leveled against them.
During their meeting, Naira Marley and Sam Larry requested that the preacher pray for Mohbad’s murders.
He said:
“In all we do let’s have the fear of God. I liked Mohbad because he was a glorious child like us. Sam Larry and Naira Marley confessed and told me they had nothing to do with Mohbad’s death. They asked me to say a prayer for the person who killed Mohbad”.
