Meghan Markle is keeping the bridal vibes alive.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled to Germany yesterday for the Invictus Games “Dusseldorf 2023 – One Year To Go” launch event, and eagle-eyed royal fashion fans might have noticed Markle’s look was reminiscent of one of her 2018 wedding gowns.
Wearing a white halter-neck sleeveless sweater by Anine Bing ($229), the duchess’ top gave off a similar look as the Stella McCartney dress she wore to the royal wedding reception.
While her bateau-necked ceremony gown was a Clare Waight Keller by Givenchy creation, the new duchess chose a sleek, silk crepe Stella McCartney style for the reception that featured a halter neckline resembling her ribbed Anine Bing tank.
Her German trip was a decidedly more casual affair, with the duchess pairing her white halter top with tan wide-legged trousers by Brandon Maxwell ($1,295) and white pumps.
Her accessories for the Invictus event were also much more low-key than the dazzling jewels she sported for her wedding reception, which included Cartier diamond drop earrings and a massive aquamarine ring that belonged to Princess Diana.
In Dusseldorf, she wore simple gold-plated CZ studs by Alexis Bittar ($85) along with Shiffon’s “1972 tennis” diamond pinky ring ($2,580-$2800) stacked with the brand’s “Duet” pinky ring ($300-$855).
She also wore her favorite Cartier watch and the designer’s gold “Love” bracelet, along with a thinner gold bangle.
Earlier this week, the Sussexes attended the One Young World Summit in Manchester, England — with Markle wearing a red suit from Another Tomorrow — and we’ll see one more fashion moment from the duchess tomorrow at the Well Child Awards in London before Meghan and Harry head back to California.
