Popular Afrobeats artiste, David Adeleke aka Davido has shared how he met his most recent DMW artistes, Morravey and Logos Olori.
The DMW boss explained in a recent podcast with media personality, Adesope Olajide that he first became interested in Morravey after he saw her version of a Fireboy song on Instagram and he was drawn to her voice because it was so lovely.
There were over 400 comments when he made the decision to search the comment area for her Instagram username; he claimed to have read through about 300 of them before discovering her Instagram page.
According to Davido, she was starstruck and had trouble expressing herself clearly because he told her he was going to make her a star.
She asked for a video chat to make sure it was really him messaging her, and after the conversation, he sent her some cash to freshen up. He had also arranged for her and her friends’ flights to travel to Lagos to record a single.
He claimed that his decision to include her on his music album, Timeless, was influenced by his admiration for her songwriting abilities.
He disclosed that he had met Logos Olori through Magicsticks, Asake’s audio engineer, whom he had been visiting the recording studio with.
