Renowned Nigerian singer, Daniel ‘BNXN‘ Benson reveals how he temporarily abandoned his music career when he gained admission to the university only to be later inspired by Burna Boy.
The ‘Gbagwalada’ artist made this known during an episode of Hip TV’s program, “Trending,” which was hosted by reality star Kim Oprah.
BNXN explained that he only returned to making music after he found inspiration from the songs of Burna Boy and British rapper, J Hus.
He further recounted how big of a deal it was for him to be signed by his mentor, Burna Boy on the same day he met him.
In his words;
“When I got into the university, I dropped everything that had to do with music.
“What inspired me to go back to doing music was that I started listening to Burna Boy and J Hus. I started listening to real music. And I was like, I think I can do this.”
