History repeats itself as Liverpool again face Chelsea in Carabao Cup final

Liverpool have sealed their place in the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea after a hard-fought win over Fulham on Wednesday.

Luis Diaz’s goal proved decisive for Liverpool as they emerged victorious in an entertaining second leg encounter at Craven Cottage.

Despite Issa Diop’s equalizer for Fulhamin the 77th minute, Liverpool held on to win 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-1 victory in the first leg at Anfield.

The win sets up a showdown with Chelsea at Wembley next month, offering Liverpool the opportunity to reclaim the trophy they won two years ago.

With Jurgen Klopp’s side also leading the Premier League race, it could mark the beginning of a successful season for the Reds.
