Hillary Clinton has said she’ll never run for president again — but it seems she just can’t quit the daytime TV circuit.
The 2016 presidential nominee appeared alongside daughter Chelsea for an interview on “The View” Wednesday to promote their new AppleTV+ show “Gusty” — and audiences were less than impressed.
During the on-air love-in, Clinton, 74, was asked about the recent raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property, with the former first lady saying it was “terrifying” to learn that the ex-president was in possession of documents about a foreign nation’s nuclear capabilities.
“I think this should be taken seriously, and it’s not a laughing matter,” she told “The View” co-hosts before refusing to reveal whether she thinks Trump will be indicted.
Clinton urged right-wing voters to reject her 2016 presidential competitor, saying they need to “reconstitute the Republican Party to where it used to be, and not the party of Trump, which I think is very dangerous to the country.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea also chimed in, claiming that Trump has “mainlined hate” in America.
Some armchair critics were puzzled by the fixation on the former president, with one sniping: “Is it ‘Hot Topics’ or ‘Trump Topics’?.”
“Down a shot every time they say ‘Trump,’” another joked.
Others hit out at “The View” co-hosts for refusing to bring up Clinton’s decision to use a private e-mail server while she was secretary of state.
“This woman is the LAST PERSON that should be talking about classified documents,” one said.
“At no time during this entire segment did the hypocrites at ‘The View,’ including the so-called Republican Alyssa Farah, confront Hillary Clinton about her lying about the classified documents on her illegal secret server and destruction of her hard drive and phones,” another viewer complained.
Meanwhile, the co-hosts cooed over Clinton’s new Apple+ series, “Gusty,” in which she and Chelsea interview famous women, including Kim Kardashian.
The hosts described the show as “so good” and “incredible.”
However, one “The View” viewer hit back claiming they couldn’t afford a subscription to Apple to watch the show, while another raged: “Hillary just trying to stay ‘relevant’ and dragging her silver spoon adult baby around for media attention, so they can have her run for office, like mommy did. Sick of seeing these people! Fun fact 1996 was the last time she actually drove her own car. So outta touch.”
But others praised the duo’s appearance on the show, saying they were excited to tune in to “Gusty.”
“How proud the Clintons must be to have raised Chelsea! Can’t wait to see ‘Gutsy’!” a satisfied viewer swooned.
