Renowned Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey widely recognized as Hilda Baci, has refuted certain rumours of charging N25K for a meet-and-greet in Abuja.
She dismissed the allegations stating that she charged N25K for a personal meet-and-greet and for fans to observe her cooking in Abuja.
Hilda Baci, who gained fame after achieving the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, completing 100 hours, addressed the matter in a post shared on her Twitter account on Friday.
An e-flier circulated on the internet claiming that Baci demanded N25,000 for personal meet-ups, live cooking, and food tasting in Abuja on June 24, 2023.
In response, she denied the report by stating, βHello everyone, I want to clarify that I will not be conducting any meet and greet events in Abuja. Furthermore, I would never ask anyone to pay for such an opportunity. Thank you.β
