He’s Top Class Player, Scores Goals For Fun – McCoist Picks £68m Striker For Man United

Rangers legend, Ally McCoist, has told Manchester United that what they need at this point is £68 million rated former Chelsea star, Tammy Abraham.
According to him, it ‘makes sense for Abraham, who left Stamford Bridge in 2021, to return to England with either to join Manchester United or Chelsea this summer.

The 24-year-old joined Serie A outfit Roma last summer for £34million, linking up with legendary Premier League boss Jose Mourinho.

The Camberwell-born forward has been a revelation at the Stadio Olimpico and netted 17 goals in his first season at the club.

In doing so, he became the highest scorer by any Englishman in a single Serie A season.

Chelsea does have a £68million buy-back option on their former star, a clause that activates in 2023.

Rangers legend McCoist, however, believes a move to Old Trafford would be a good option for both parties.

McCoist told talkSPORT:

“It makes sense for Manchester United,”

“The question and dilemma he will have to answer are whether he would want to move back to Chelsea or go to Manchester United.

“I think he is a top-class player, and he scores goals for fun.”

Manchester United began their season on a very sad note, losing 2-1 to Brighton at Old Trafford in Erik ten Hag’s first game in charge of the club.
