Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is rapidly emerging as one of the Premier League’s brightest talents, with an impressive start to the season.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has netted six goals in just seven Premier League appearances, catching the attention of fans and players alike.
One of his biggest admirers is teammate Marc Cucurella, who praised Palmer’s unique style in a recent interview with The Guardian.
“If you see him without his kit, you’d never guess he’s a professional footballer. But on the pitch, he shoots, and although it doesn’t look like he strikes the ball hard, he scores every time! He’s very different.
“I can’t quite explain it. He’s just special. We’re very lucky to have him at Chelsea.
Cucurella also jokingly added, “And for us Spaniards, we’re fortunate he didn’t play much at the Euros either, because he came on and nearly spoiled everything by scoring in the final (2-1).
“If he keeps this up, he’ll be one of the best. He just doesn’t have much strength in his hair, but if that’s his only issue, then we’re in a great place!”
Recall Palmer was recently named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for September, along side Chelsea coach, Enzo Maresca, who scooped the manager of the Month award as well.
