Headies Is Wrong For Disqualifying Portable – Music Award Has Nothing To Do With Artiste’s Behavior!!

Forget Portable being a nuisance or talking anyhow, Headies is wrong to disqualify him!!.
Before you guys come for me, I’m not a fan of portable nor his music but let us call a spade a spade.

I saw a comment under Richard‘s post saying Hopper J will be happy now. I’m not happy o

I know anytime we see portable on the news, it’s always not good news but that’s the reason he’s Portable, he calls himself Idamu Adugbo which means the problem of the neighborhood.

JUSTICE FOR PORTABLE
I’ve seen different reactions when the news broke out about Headies disqualifying Portable for 2 categories he was being nominated for.

Portable was nominated for the Best Street Artiste and Rookie of the year for the forthcoming Headies 2022 award.

The organizers of Headies Awards disqualified Portable from the list of nominees because he was involved in a series of misdemeanors on social media and for threatening to kill his co-nominees of its 2022 edition, a statement he was told to apologize and he did(in a Portable way) of course. Portable na werey too

If the apology was not accepted, they should have informed him or told him to write a formal statement that nothing will happen to the nominees.

After all, Portable was nominated because of his music and not his behavior.

Also, Headies claims he was disqualified following controversy and investigation by the Nigeria Police Force, after allegedly claiming to be affiliated with the criminal group “1 million boys” and assaulting DJ Chicken.

Unless we want to lie, we’ve seen artistes showing signs of belonging to a cult group on their social media and even in music videos.

Even Burna Boy a few weeks ago was involved in a shooting at club Cubana, a case which involves someone being shot but Headies didn’t see any reason to disqualify him, why because these artiste have lifestyles different from their music.

This same Headies did nothing to Olamide when scattered the show some years back because Reekado Banks was given Next rated ahead of Lil Kesh.
Now the organizers are saying they don’t want to associate themself with Portable, to me, that’s big Ojoro because I believe Portable has a higher tendency of winning either Street Artiste Of The Year Or Rookie Of The Year.

My problem with Portable is that he talks too much, I believe if Portable had better management, it wouldn’t have gotten to this stage.

Why is he the one handling his social media pages to start with? It’s obvious he doesn’t understand how fame works, the music business too, and he could have been helped through the process but he chased everybody away.

Don’t get me wrong, Portable is wrong in all ways but disqualifying him in a music award he was being nominated for based on credit is wrong. I will drop my pen here.
