He warned me to “becareful in Lagos because he was going to f”k me up– Tiwa Savage spills in police petition against Davido

Tiwa Savage, Davido, AY, Others to Receive National Honours

Famous Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has filed a complaint with the Nigerian police, claiming that her colleague Davido has threatened her life and committed other worrying offenses.

Previously, Tee Billz, the ex-husband of Tiwa Savage, gained a lot of notoriety for outing and criticizing the DMW Boss. He said that the artist, Imade, had mistreated his kid with Sophia Momodu, with whom he is currently at odds.

In addition, Tee Billz said that during his altercation with Sophia Momodu, the singer had threatened his ex-wife and accused him of openly intimidating others by throwing his weight around.

Tiwa Savage took a risk when she filed a petition against the DMW Boss for the alleged threats and took her complaints to the police.

Tiwa described the incident in detail in her appeal, citing a December 23 Instagram Story photo that she and Sophia Momodu shared. Davido accused her manager in a series of mails after this innocent gesture of verbally abusing and ridiculing him.

Tiwa responded by expressing her shock at Davido’s threats and bringing attention to her steadfast support throughout his most trying times, such as the death of his kid.

She claimed that the fallout from that day resulted in a flurry of calls and messages from mutual connections challenging her behavior. Tiwa blamed the criticism on her decision to keep up her friendship with Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu, which led to rumors that she was the one who started it.

She further claimed that Davido continued his threats through mutual friends, transforming the situation into a distressing blend of online and offline harassment, not only affecting her but also her team members.

Concluding her petition with a strong statement, Tiwa emphasized the unethical nature of Davido’s actions, framing them as a direct threat to her rights to life, privacy, and personal dignity. This, she argued, forms the crux of her petition to the Commissioner of Police.

She petitioned in parts;

“On the 23rd of December, I made a post which included myself and Sophia Momodu Instagram Story- a feature on Instagram which alows you to put up a post for twenty-four hours, and MR. DAVID ADELEKE sent messages to my manager who’s also part of his management team that I shouldn’t worry and should never say a word to him and that I was taunting him, uttering very đisespectful, malicious and derogatory words to my person

I responded to MR. DAVID ADELEKE’s message and told him not o reach especially as I feel like I have been there for him and his daughter, Imade and more importantly when he lost his son. The events of that day have also led to a barrage of calls and messages from our mutual connections, asking me what I did to MR. DAVID ADELEKE that he’s upset that I choose to maintain a relationship with Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu who he’s having issues with and also painting the exchange to look like I was the aggressor.

He has also told our connections to warm me to “becareful in Lagos because he was going to f”k me up”. This is beginning to feel ike some form of online and ofline harassment not just to me but also members of my team. The actions of MR. DAVID ADELEKE are uncthical and can be viewed as a direct threat to my rights to life, privacy and dignity of my person”
