Harry Edward Styles (born 1 February 1994), stage named Harry Styles, is a multitalented English singer, songwriter, and seasoned actor.
The Grammy Award winner released his debut self-titled solo music album through Columbia Records in 2017, with the album debuting at number one in the US and the UK, becoming one of the world’s top ten best-selling albums of the year.
He made his anticipated acting debut in a 2017’s Christopher Nolan war film titled Dunkirk.
Harry Styles has received several accolades throughout his career, including two Brit Awards, a Grammy Award, an American Music Award, an Ivor Novello Award.

Early Life
Harry Edward Styles was born in the inhabited town of Redditch, in Worcestershire, England, on 1 February 1994.
He is the son of Desmond ‘Des’ Styles (father), a finance worker, and landlady Anne Twist (mother).
He has an older sister named Gemma Styles. His parents divorced when he was seven, and later his mother remarried to her business partner John Cox. However, she divorced him years later.
Nevertheless, she married again in 2013 to Robin Twist, who later died of complications from cancer in 2017.
Harry Styles has an older stepbrother named Mike Twist and a stepsister named Amy Twist, who are the children of Robin Twist.
When he was a child, he moved with his family to the village of Holmes Chapel in Cheshire.
He was the lead singer for a music band called White Eskimo. The band won a local Battle of the Bands competition during that period, and at the age of 16, he worked part-time with the W. Mandeville Bakery in Holmes Chapel.

Career
On 11 April 2010, following a suggestion from his mother, Harry Styles auditioned as a solo contestant for the seventh series of the popular British televised singing competition known as The X Factor.
He sang a rendition of Stevie Wonder titled “Isn’t She Lovely“.Then, he advanced to Bootcamp but unfortunately failed to progress further.
Together with him, four others in his age group also failed but were put together as an ensemble in July 2010 at the Bootcamp stage of the competition, hence qualifying for the “Groups” category and were mentored by Simon Cowell.
The group consisted of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik, who worked together for two weeks to practice.
Harry Styles suggested the name One Direction to his bandmates, and they consented. Soon they began to gain considerable fame in the UK, thus within the first four weeks of the live show, they became Simon Cowell‘s last act in the competition.
Hard work and perseverance made the group eventually reached The X Factor final and made an impressive third-place finish.
Furthermore, One Direction signed a recording contract with Simon Cowell‘s label Syco Records in January 2011, and their debut single titled What Makes You Beautiful, together with their debut studio album titled Up All Night, followed later that year.
