Pep Guardiola has called on Mikel Arteta to clarify his remarks suggesting inside knowledge about Manchester City’s tactics.
Arteta, formerly Guardiola’s assistant, hinted during an interview that his time at City gave him valuable insights.
“I have all the information, believe me,” the Gunners boss said when asked about City’s complaints over Arsenal’s tactics during their 2-2 Premier League draw.
Guardiola responded with skepticism, stating that Arteta should be more specific.
“He needs to be clear on what he means. He was here for four years, so maybe it’s related to the 115 charges against us. If he knows something, he should explain.”
The rivalry between the two clubs has intensified over recent seasons, with City and Arsenal battling for the Premier League title.
Despite the tension, Arteta reassured reporters that it hasn’t impacted his personal relationship with Guardiola.
