Former Chelsea and West Ham star, Glen Johnson has expressed shock over Thomas Tuchel’s decision to sell Kurt Zouma.
He believes there must have been a personal issue between the German gaffer and Zouma.
The France international joined West Ham from Chelsea during the closing stages of the transfer window.
The defender ended a seven-year association with the Stamford Bridge landlords by signing for West Ham in a £25million deal.
“From a Chelsea perspective, I’m surprised they’ve sold him,” Metro quoted the former Chelsea star as saying.
“There clearly must be something between him and Thomas Tuchel because otherwise they wouldn’t have let him go, even though I don’t know that personally.
“He’s a very good player and for him to turn up at West Ham is ideal for the Hammers.”
