Gisele Bündchen once gave insight into her and husband Tom Brady’s rare but heated arguments.
“Tom and I don’t argue much, but sometimes, when I feel anger rising in me — growing, growing — I become aware of what’s going on,” the Brazilian supermodel, 42, wrote in her 2018 book, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life.”
“Instead of reacting in a way that I’ll regret later, I remember to breathe.”
In those moments, the model wrote that she would tell Brady, 45, “It’s better if we talk later,” and she would then leave the room.
“Meditation has been key in helping me with my own reactivity,” the mother of two added. “I think of my anger as a visitor, and I can see that it is potentially destructive, so I make the conscience choice not to engage with it.”
She concluded, “The next time Tom and I are together, we can revisit whatever we are talking about in a loving, respectful way as we always do.”
It appears the “lesson” Bündchen learned about managing her anger and walking away from fights did not stop her and the NFL from having marital issues, however.
Multiple sources exclusively told Page Six on Thursday that an “epic fight” is to blame for the married couple staying in separate homes at the moment.
“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire,” one insider told us. “Gisele has always been the one with the kids. They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”
Another source added, “They have a fiery relationship. Gisele is a bit hot-headed — she has that Brazilian heat!”
As Bündchen shared in her book, it’s her strategy to give herself some space to cool down when she’s upset, and we learned that she recently left her and Brady’s family compound in Tampa, Fla., for Costa Rica after a “series of heated arguments.”
However, one insider noted that the couple has gone through fiery rifts in the past, which they have always been able to work through.
Bündchen and Brady have been married since 2009 and share children Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9, plus Jack, the athlete’s 15-year-old son with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Reps for the model and NFL quarterback have declined to comment on their relationship.
