They were among a group of people that climbed Mt. Kenya for prayers so that the country can never end up in violence ever again.
“Gidi was in UN and I was at Tusker as coach.,” Ghost shared with Obinna TV.
The duo would later be employed at Radio Africa but they were not doing the same show at the beginning.
“He had his own show and I was specialising in Sports news. I don’t know how we came to be partnered the same year 2009 but we were talking about Sports, the rest is history. We are with him everyday. It was difficult at first to combine that, you have to learn that. It’s a marriage of 16 years,” he said.
Their show Patanisho is popular among Kenyans and is know for solving issues between families.
Ghost said that the show is authentic, dispelling claims that it is scripted.
“Everyday is a new thing. Nothing repeats itself. With our show, we get a new thing everyday. It is exciting because mostly it is a different case everyday. It is fresh, real, there is no acting there, we don’t record, we are live. It is authentic and when people talk they talk, they get emotional,” he said.
According to him, Gidi was the one who came up with the idea of the show, to unite the society because so many negative things were happening.
“It has worked wonders,” Ghost said, adding that most of the issues they have received are about mother in-laws.
“Patanisho has helped a lot of people. Unafikiria wewe uko na shida na bibi yako, unaskiza mpaka unapata yenu ni jokes,” he added.
Ghost is however planning to exit the show in the coming months.
“My target is July next year. That is enough, I have given the industry enough for me to concentrate on other things. I never stay at one place for a very long time, 16 years ni kidogo” he said.
