Fred is determined to stay with Manchester United this season.
The Manchester Evening News says Fred has no intention of leaving United or been informed he is available for transfer as the club prepares to announce the arrival of Donny van de Beek.
United are on the verge of signing Van de Beek, 23, in a £40 million deal from Ajax after he passed a medical in the Netherlands and agreed personal terms.
Van de Beek can play at the apex or base of midfield and, with Bruno Fernandes established as United’s playmaker, the expectation is Van de Beek will occupy the number six role Fred played in at the end of last season.
Despite the imminent arrival of Van de Beek and speculation surrounding a move to Galatasaray, there has been no dialogue between Fred’s representatives and United over immediate plans for his future and he is happy at the club.
