The NBA is going to have a very busy, exciting Christmas Day this year.
While the majority of the upcoming schedule is still under wraps for one more day, the league has leaked the Christmas Day lineups for 2022.
They feature the Los Angeles Lakers against the Dallas Mavericks, the Golden State Warriors taking on the Memphis Grizzlies, the Philadelphia 76ers against the New York Knicks, the Boston Celtics battling the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Denver Nuggets versus the Phoenix Suns.
Some of those selections are a bit surprising but some snubs are shocking people even more.
We need to see Trae Young and Anthony Edwards on Christmas Day!!! I don’t understand for the life of me how the Hawks and Minnesota are not on the Christmas Day schedule. Don’t mind me tho and Carry the hell on…

Former NBA star Kendrick Perkins is flabbergasted by the lack of the Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves on Christmas Day.
“We need to see Trae Young and Anthony Edwards on Christmas Day!!!” Perkins said on Twitter.
“I don’t understand for the life of me how the Hawks and Minnesota are not on the Christmas Day schedule. Don’t mind me tho and Carry the hell on…”
There are a few people who are disappointed by the absences of some teams but the NBA has reasons for their choices.
No Atlanta & Ant
Perkins has every right to be bummed by the lack of the Hawks and Timberwolves on Christmas Day.
However, you need to remember that this is one of the biggest days of the year for the NBA, and the audience they are trying to attract is very diverse and huge.
Christmas Day is a time when people from the most casual to die-hard NBA fans tune into the games.
Therefore, teams like the Lakers and Knicks have to play, no matter how bad they are, because they remain some of the most recognizable franchises in the world.
Teams like the Hawks and T-Wolves might be better but they’re just not as well known as LA or New York – for now.
