Beyonce was destined to become a global superstar — and that was already apparent in her teenage years.
The 41-year-old, who told hosts Tank and J Valentine that she isn’t surprised to see Beyonce become the icon that he is today, recounted how days off from work usually consisted of the “Break My Soul” singer working in the studio while her band members were looking to catch a movie. “When we did have our off time, she was in the studio, sitting there by herself writing records.”
Luckett then went on to touch on Bey’s work ethic, saying she has never seen anything like it, and that being around it made people question themselves whether they weren’t doing something right. Alongside Bey, Kelly Rowland and LaTavia Roberson, the four-piece would release two studio albums, 1998’s “Destiny’s Child,” and 1999’s “The Writing’s on the Wall.
